After
WWII, there was a happy music that swung
harder than most jazz. It was salty, sexy, effervescent and
sophisticated.
This music
predated the explosion of rock'n'roll. Even though it produced a
handful
of crossover stars, most notable Louis Prima,
Louis
Jordan and T-bone Walker,
this music was largely the private province of America's urban black
communities.
The hottest sound around was known as JUMP BLUES. After sixty
years, it remains
enormously influential.
Just ask Robert Plant,
Brian Setzer,
Gatemouth Brown, or B.B. King.
Or better yet, ask the band
down
at the local bar, filling the dance floor with it's version of
Stormy Monday or Caladonia.
JUMP
BLUES is taste tested and timeless
and nobody plays JUMP BLUES
with
more verve, authority, vigor and precision than THE SENDERS !
